Buying guidance

Choosing Adhesive Tape

Carton sealing

Choose packing tape around the carton surface, packed weight and sealing equipment. Confirm backing, adhesive, total thickness, roll width and length for the proposed grade.

Bonding and assembly

Bonding needs information about both surfaces, their finish, the joint and service conditions. Transparency or colour is not a strength specification. Trial the proposed construction on the actual materials.

Clear and general-purpose tape

Describe whether the task is office use, wrapping or packaging. Do not assume a general-purpose roll is equivalent to a specified carton-sealing or assembly tape.

Custom tape requests

For custom packing requests, include artwork and quantity where relevant. Printing, colours, proof arrangements and minimum quantities require confirmation. Keep these separate from custom bonding constructions.

Before requesting a quote

What makes two tapes different?

Backing, adhesive and total thickness can differ even when the rolls look alike. Compare those details and the intended use in the quotation.

Can I use the same roll by hand or machine?

Confirm roll and core dimensions against the dispenser or machine, together with the sealing process and application conditions.

What should a custom request include?

Describe the task, surfaces, dimensions and quantity. For printed packaging, supply artwork requirements so feasibility and approval steps can be discussed.

Sizes, packing, minimum quantities and lead times are confirmed for the specific quotation.
